Fighting for Sarah
Some of you know my story of starting this business for my daughter Sarah. You may remember her from when she worked the St Paul and Maple Grove farmers markets. We’ve been estranged off and on for almost 3 years, but yesterday I spent two hours with her, and got permission to share this update with you all.
Almost a year ago, Sarah, was diagnosed with a glioblastoma—an aggressive and unforgiving brain tumor. Since that day, she has fought with every ounce of strength in her body.
Today, Sarah can no longer hear. She cannot speak. She cannot walk. But she is still here. She’s still fighting.
Her days are filled with prayers, appointments, and holding on to every smile, every breath, and every moment of presence we can share with her. Watching someone you love go through something so devastating is beyond heartbreaking—it’s soul-crushing. But Sarah’s spirit remains unbreakable, and so does our hope.
As Sarah and her husband Billy battle through treatments, therapies, and endless medical bills, they’ve created a GoFundMe to help with her care. If you feel led to help, your donation—big or small—means the world to our family. https://gofund.me/ab51200a
To support Sarah’s fight in another way, we’re offering a special 25% off everything on the Rapha Farms website through Sunday July 13, 2025 with the code FIGHTFORSARAH. We hope you’ll take this opportunity to save a little on something beautiful for yourself or a loved one—and consider passing along those savings to Sarah’s fundraiser.
Every bar of soap, every order, every message of support—it all adds up. Thank you for standing with us.
Here’s a video from years ago when Jamie Grace performed a song for Sarah at a Joyful Noise concert.
