Celebrating Another Year (and a Birthday Sale!)

Birthdays look a little different as the years go by, but I’ve come to truly love this season of slowing down, reflecting, and celebrating the simple blessings in life — family, friends, meaningful work, and good food. 💜

We have celebrated “Birthday Week” for years (because why not?). I have a couple of coffee dates planned, a few lunches with friends and family, and my husband is taking me out to one of my longtime favorites: Red Lobster. I order the same thing every single time — coconut shrimp — and I never get tired of it. He’s even planning to make coconut shrimp at home one night too, just to keep the celebration going a little longer.

And when it comes to cake, there’s no competition. Tiramisu wins, hands down. If there’s coffee and mascarpone involved, I’m happy.

More fun… recently I was asked to speak at a local FFA meeting. Standing in front of young people who care about agriculture, animals, and the future of farming was incredibly humbling and encouraging. Their questions, their passion, and their kindness reminded me why small farms matter so much.
